Archery Range Open!

As of August 8, 2019 the archery was completed and ready for use.

Sunday Afternoon Trap Shoot August 25, 2019

Sunday afternoon trap shoot August 25, 2019. 1:00 p.m. Cost is $7.00 for a round of 25 clays, bring your own ammo and shotgun.

Saturday, 24 August, 2019 Wildwood Rod & Gun Club - 3rd Annual Pig Roast and Trap Shoot!

Note: The rifle and handgun ranges will be shut down at 11:00 a.m. and will be used for trap shooting until 3.30 p.m. Then, all the ranges will be closed for the remainder of the day to allow for the meal.

Starts at noon with two trap shoots. 

Experienced shooters are invited to use our professional station, bringing their own guns and shells, and paying $7 per round.

Novice shooters will have a manual trap set up on our rifle range, complete with instruction. Women’s and youth shotguns will be available to try. No charge.

The range will be shut down at 3:30 PM for the rest of the day, to allow for the meal. Picnic tables will be set up under a tarped roof in front of the clubhouse.

The Meal:

Wild boar will be roasted on-site by Hog Wild Specialties of Mayerthorpe

Side dishes will include potato salad, Caesar salad, corn-on-the-cob, brown beans and dinner rolls

Condiments & Coffee

Water & pop will be available at a loonie each put in the Honor Bucket

Plates & cutlery will be supplied.

There will be door prizes as well.

Monthly General Meeting September 12, 2019

Monthly General Meeting: September 12, 2019 7:30 p.m. at the range clubhouse.  Come early, bring your shotgun for a pre-meeting trap shoot at 6 p.m. Cost is $5.00 for a round of 25 clays.

Membership Fees and Renewals

Memberships run from April 1, to March 31, every year.  The 2019 Membership fees will be $120.00 for Regular Memberships and $195.00 for Family Memberships.  A $25.00 maintenance fee is included in these prices.

No Metal Targets

The range is not certified for use of metal targets. Members are requested to use paper, wood or clay targets. Persons found using metal targets may have range privileges suspended.







Edson Reynolds Gun Range

Edson Reynolds Gun Range is located about 1.6 km east of Wildwood on highway 16, turn north Range Road 91, proceed 4 km north and turn east on Twp Rd 541A, about 800 meters east.  The range entrance is located on the north side. Coordinates: N53 38.618 W115 11.625

The range has covered shooting benches,  up to a  300 yard rifle range, a 50 yard small bore/ handgun range and  a shotgun range.  The range is certified by the Department of Justice Canada.

 

Stones Fish Pond

Stones Fish Pond is located 4 km west of Wildwood on highway 16, turn south on range road 95 and proceed about 1 km south, turn west on TWP 534, proceed about 1 km, the fish pond is on the north side. Coordinates: N53 36.049 W115 19.088

The fish pond produces rainbow trout to over 7 lbs. but most are smaller. The pond is stocked in the spring and fall by Alberta Sustainable Resource Development (SRD). Alberta fishing regulations apply to the pond but catch and release is encouraged. The pond is open to public fishing year round. A great place to bring the family.
